This week we’re back to a “normal” show with the tale of my 3 day battle with the sun and the sprinklers. The news is back with 4 “Florida Man” stories from this week, and in Recommended Listening, it’s a new show from a past featured host. It’s time to get up and go jogging with Stacey Frost and “Run With Me On This.”(more…)
I didn’t plan it this way, but it’s time for the “Guest of The Month!” And because I wasn’t planning to record yet, and she was bored, I’m talking to my wife, ReAnna.
(Seriously, recording this was all her idea.)
As much as I love my my guest episodes, I’m always excited when my wife wants to sit down and record, because no matter what we’re talking about, we’re still being silly and giving each other crap the entire time.
This time around we’re going deeper into what we’ve had going on around the house during the age of Corona. We talk more about “distance learning” and just looking forward to school coming back next year. ReAnna shares her college journey from curious history major through theater and now graduating from ASU with an education degree on her way to a Master’s in Library Science.
I missed you. So I’m driving home from work and talking about what’s been up with me during the last two months of Corona. “Distance Learning,” working from home, getting new teeth, “vaccine margaritas” and I don’t even remember what else. It’s just nice to be recording again.

For the next two weeks I’ll be releasing my “interview” with Matt Heyman from “PreRecorded Live.” In part 1 of the interview, we get into a wide range of topics. From general tech, to home improvement, and even to how we would cope with various life changing traumas, including Matt’s three brushes with cancer.
This episode actually touches on some heavier topics, namely my personal robbery trauma, Matt’s cancer battles, and how we feel we would cope with certain traumatic situations. Of course this is all done with a healthy dose of comedy because that’s who we are. We don’t get especially serious, but if those types of subjects may bother you, next week will be much lighter. Also, Matt had testicular cancer, sooooo there’s lots of ball talk. (Hence the walnuts in the episode art hehe…)(more…)
How was your Valentine’s Day? Mine went well enough. That is, until our son knocked one of his teeth out. But that didn’t stop us from buying all of the kids bikes only 2 days later. Never mind that none of them knew how to ride one. Speaking of hilarious situations, this week’s Recommended Listening feature is going to another sci-fi disaster comedy audio drama. I’m talking about Oz-9.
It’s Valentine’s Day! For some it’s a time to get romantic and maybe shower your significant other with gifts. For me, it’s kinda complicated. First off I have no clue what to get my wife. All of the standard gifts either wont work or are too expensive. That and I’m just too financially practical to justify spending the money for a lot of things.
Then I get into my kids’ outright refusal to clean their bedrooms, even to the point of doing other chores that they aren’t responsible for, just so they don’t have to do the ones that they are.
Finally, another founding member of the Podfix network has announced their ending. We’re saying goodbye to “Weird With You.”
Continuing the saga of my back yard, this week I finally got a landscaper hired. I also give a little insight into why the show has been so inconsistent for the last few weeks. And I swear it’s not an ad, but I talk about finally getting sucked into playing “Best Fiends.” Finally, in the return of Recommended Listening, I’m talking music, fitness, and philosophy in this week’s feature: “Strength, Love Metal.”(more…)
This week, I decided to flex my daddy DIY skills and install a few ceiling fans in the house. Unfortunately I’ve never actually done it before, and my arms are sore AF. Ironically, while I’m being so productive in one way, I’m also being lazy because we just bought a robot vacuum. And I give some updates on some changes coming to the show.
After a completely unintended hiatus, I’m back! Welcome to 2020!! I’ve got an update on the move to our new home. I give a kind of loose tour of what’s kept me away. There’s some excitement over my new office. And I give some insight into what I want to do with the show and more in 2020.(more…)
So it’s day 25 of NAPODPOMO and I am at episode 21. In so many words, I don’t think I’m making it to 30 this year.(more…)
