Changing Plans and Changing Podcasts: ODO 186

Before you freak out at the title, no I’m not changing up this show. At least for the most part. Rather, this week’s Recommended Listening will highlight a few podcasts that have changed since the last time I talked about them. Not much “Florida Man” in this week’s news, but a whole lot of stupid. And we’ve recently had to make a major change in our plans around the house.

Working In The Sun With Florida Man: ODO 185

This week we’re back to a “normal” show with the tale of my 3 day battle with the sun and the sprinklers. The news is back with 4 “Florida Man” stories from this week, and in Recommended Listening, it’s a new show from a past featured host. It’s time to get up and go jogging with Stacey Frost and “Run With Me On This.”

Of Podcasting and Pumpkins

Once again, I try to come back to the show and share my randomness about all things going on in my head. This time around, I explain my office/ recording situation, I get way too excited when I start talking about my gardens, and of course I go on tangent rabbit holes that even get me lost. Just another week with the Odd Dad Out.

Desks, Distance Learning, and Non-Corona Gardening w/ ReAnna: ODO 183

I didn’t plan it this way, but it’s time for the “Guest of The Month!” And because I wasn’t planning to record yet, and she was bored, I’m talking to my wife, ReAnna.
(Seriously, recording this was all her idea.)
As much as I love my my guest episodes, I’m always excited when my wife wants to sit down and record, because no matter what we’re talking about, we’re still being silly and giving each other crap the entire time.

This time around we’re going deeper into what we’ve had going on around the house during the age of Corona. We talk more about “distance learning” and just looking forward to school coming back next year. ReAnna shares her college journey from curious history major through theater and now graduating from ASU with an education degree on her way to a Master’s in Library Science.

Driving Home And Other Corona Updates: ODO 182

I missed you. So I’m driving home from work and talking about what’s been up with me during the last two months of Corona. “Distance Learning,” working from home, getting new teeth, “vaccine margaritas” and I don’t even remember what else. It’s just nice to be recording again.

Viral Homeschooling and Insta-blockage: ODO 181

This week I’m catching you up on what’s been going on around here while I’ve been releasing interviews. Long story short, school is closed, we’ve gotta homeschool the boys, ReAnna got sick, and I think we both may have had the corona, but can’t be sure.

Plus, I rant about how Instagram shut down one account and froze another for my editing business, ODO Voice Productions.

Dental Distress and Gilligan’s Island In Space: ODO 176

How was your Valentine’s Day? Mine went well enough. That is, until our son knocked one of his teeth out. But that didn’t stop us from buying all of the kids bikes only 2 days later. Never mind that none of them knew how to ride one. Speaking of hilarious situations, this week’s Recommended Listening feature is going to another sci-fi disaster comedy audio drama. I’m talking about Oz-9.

Strength, Fiends, Landscaping: ODO 174

Continuing the saga of my back yard, this week I finally got a landscaper hired. I also give a little insight into why the show has been so inconsistent for the last few weeks. And I swear it’s not an ad, but I talk about finally getting sucked into playing “Best Fiends.” Finally, in the return of Recommended Listening, I’m talking music, fitness, and philosophy in this week’s feature: “Strength, Love Metal.

Robot Sharks and Ceiling Fans: ODO 173

This week, I decided to flex my daddy DIY skills and install a few ceiling fans in the house. Unfortunately I’ve never actually done it before, and my arms are sore AF. Ironically, while I’m being so productive in one way, I’m also being lazy because we just bought a robot vacuum. And I give some updates on some changes coming to the show.
