Happy New Year 2019!! It’s the first new episode of the year, and that means it’s time to make plans for what I want to do on the show this year that I’ll probably never get to. Plus I’ve got a little tease for some ideas and recommendations coming up this year.
Happy holidays to you. This week I’ve got a tale of too many “Perplexi,” an oddly large number of humorous news stories about guns, a “Jackass” who wants to trade pot for a Big Mac, and I don’t care if Paul Csomo already mentioned it, in “Recommended Listening” I’m talking about Weird With You.
It’s almost Christmas. Why not add a little holiday cheer to the show. Gareth’s Random Ramblings is doing their annual Christmas series, and we even got into the spirit this weekend decorating gingerbread houses. Of course I’ve still got a “Jackass of the Week” that throws all that holiday spirit out the window.
This week I find myself in a sea of parents at one of the most uncomfortable events of the year… Children’s winter concerts. Throwing the season out the window, in Recommended Listening I’ve got a new take on a horror movie podcast with “Kim and Ket Stay Alive… Maybe.” And I wrap it all up with a failed marriage between a woman… and a ghost.
I’m back to “normal” with this week’s show where I talk about my new status of being “officially” a Dad, and it revolves around lights. This week’s featured podcast brings the 4th appearance of John Buckenas, 2nd for Jessica Kupferman, and Recommended Listening debut of Melissa Brilliant with their show “Brilliant Observations.” And it all wraps up with a Jackass of The Week involving a woman who just wanted to buy some Pringles. Or did she?
Happy Halloween everyone! This week I simply take a stroll through the headstones and talk about all of the things that get me in the mood for Halloween. From Music and movies to, of course, podcasts. I chat about the Netflix series “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and have the long awaited Recommended Listening feature of “Sirenicide.”
I realized, as I started recording, that Halloween is only a week away and I don’t know what we are going to do this year. As I thought about that I started thinking about the holiday season and how Halloween kicks off the season of spending. Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas time, you just start purging cash at the end of October. I also reflect on how my general introversion makes me uncomfortable with holiday travel, and I have a callback to last week’s psychological breakdown.
Another month, another trip to the food trucks. This time, we went in with a plan and had the best, most filling trip yet. Speaking of family fun time, monster number 3 got a little bit of social media traction over a video of him watching his favorite team on BattleBots. Plus, I’ve got a Jackass Bridezilla with a big price tag, and a little chat about International Podcast Day.
Hey! I’m here this week and I sound like complete crap. Long story short, I’ve been sick and my voice is shot, but I didn’t want to miss another week. That being said, it’s a shorter show. No Jackass of the Week, but I do get into what’s had me so busy recently and what I really do love about being a podcast editor. Plus I wrap up with the week’s Recommended Listening feature, Play Comics.
Another week, another show where I don’t have a jumping off point. But that quickly takes a turn into my revelation that, when it comes to my friendships, I’m kind of a troll. But I’m a friendly troll. In a long overdue Recommended Listening, this week I’m talking about the Rough Giraffe Podcast. And finally, the Jackass of the Week brings us a couple of Detroit police precincts who really need a lesson in communication.
