On this 19th episode of my NAPODPOMO challenge, I’m gonna be more normal than usual. That’s because, like everyone else who grew up in the 90’s, I’m kinda hooked on Disney +. (Totally not sponsored, just way nostalgic.)

We’re in the news for episode 15 of NAPODPOMO 2019. This time, the South Dakota governor launched a new anti-drug campaign that reeeeeeallly needed to go through a proofreader beforehand.

Today’s NAPODPOMO gift is my more formal chat with Kate Wallinga from “Ignorance Is Bliss” and “Lifeworld.” This is actually the conversation that we originally sat down to have back in September that turned into my October guest of the month episode. That being said, if you’ve listened to that, you may notice some overlapping beats.

Buying a house is kind of a pain in the ass. Even more, packing up our stuff is a pain in the everything else. Since it is a federal holiday, my wife and all of the boys were out of school for Veteran’s Day. So, we used the day to clean/ sort/ and pack up everything in the garage.
Also, I know I am 4 episodes behind on my 30 episodes in 30 days. I will have a few news episodes that will be popping up in the coming weeks to catch up. Stay tuned.

Kind of an uneventful week I guess. We went to the first food truck event of the season, (now that the sun wont cook all the vendors inside their trucks.) I give an update on my whole “being sick” thing. No news theme this week, just stupidity. There’s a guy who got fired over his attendance record, an idiot who tried to fight a grizzly bear, and an unplanned rant inspired by Moby’s new neck tattoo. Lastly, in Recommended Listening, we’re exploring the New Kingdom of America with “The Rise of King Asilas.“

It’s that time again. Time for someone to invite somebody on for a conversation that can only be had with my scrambled brain. This month I have, from Nerds With Words and Drop Tent Media, Adam Nutter. We spend a ton of time talking about comedy. Whether it’s standup comedians or comedy films, we’ve got opinions. Somehow we end up talking sports, and how at our age, we both suck. Plus tons of tangents and randomness because, frankly, we both have brain damage. Enjoy!

This week I had a startling revelation about my youngest son, and it involves a PB&J. Doing a complete 180, every story in the news has to do with penises. (I’m sorry. I don’t plan this I swear.) Wrapping it up (see what I did there) in Recommended Listening, it’s time to laugh your nose off as I “Release The Clowns”

The last few weeks have been pretty hectic. Between getting settled back in to home life post-vacation, the boys starting back to school, and getting my groove back on the show, it’s been very busy around here. Oh yeah, and in the middle of that, Sam decided he wanted to stop wearing diapers. The news is back with an idiotic lawsuit, what I can only describe as a dumb landscaper, and a ballsy car thief. Finally, in this week’s Recommended Listening, it’s time for the August 2019 Sunshine Summit.

For July my guest of the month is the ever wonderful Paul Csomo from the Varmints podcast. Unlike his previous appearance, this time we actually ended up talking about animals quite a bit. Of course there’s also the obligatory podcasting and tech talk. We talk about what it’s like living in states with such dangerous wildlife. Somehow we solve Florida’s invasive species problem. Plus, we joke about Paul’s experience eating bugs, and the difference between animal rights activists and conservationists, with a side track into Paul’s Funko Pop collection.
