This Is Halloween: ODO 125
Happy Halloween everyone! This week I simply take a stroll through the headstones and talk about all of the things that get me in the mood for Halloween. From Music and movies to, of course, podcasts. I chat about the Netflix series “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and have the long awaited Recommended Listening feature of “Sirenicide.”
To say the new version of “Sabrina The Teenage Witch” is dark is the understatement of the year. Instead of the happy zany adventures of a teen witch, this incarnation follows a much darker path through Sabrina’s conflict over her mortal life and signing her soul to her Satanic coven. That’s right, these witches are Satanists, no two ways about it. On top of that, there are multiple mentions of eating people in the series. So if you’re the kind to be offended by that, this may not be the show for you. Then again, if you would be offended by that in a show, you probably weren’t going to watch anything about a witch in the first placed. If you don’t have a problem with that, then you should absolutely give “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” a binge this Halloween.
Sirenicide is a serialized horror drama based in the wicked world woven in and around Morston, Texas. The criminal factions and dark government agencies are just the start of the malevolence that roams the streets of this macabre city. The tales in Sirenicide tap into the fear and lore that envelope what most would consider to be fiction. The production plays host to a plethora of popular personalities from other nightmarish podcasts. The main cast of creepy, courageous, and curious characters evolve with the overarching story, but they also chronicle some amazing self-contained, standalone tales. The original music serves each episode’s atmosphere in a way that embraces and enhances each scene. So uncover the dark secrets, evil murders, supernatural experiences, and mysterious doctors awaiting in this modern epic.
